Dexamethasone (21 Sodium phosphate)
Vehicle q.s.
This product is particularly suitable for an emergency intravenous application due to its high concentration in a minimum volume injected.
Reference dose for shock state (all species): From 4 to 8 mg per kg (equivalent to 2 to 4 mL per 10 kg). Intravenous injection.
Equines, bovines, sheep and pigs: From 0.05 to 2 mg per kg (equivalent to 0.125 to 0.5 mL per 50 kg). Intravenous, intramuscular or subcutaneous injection.
Dogs and cats: From 0.1 to 2 mg per kg (equivalent to 0.05 to 1 mL per 10 kg). Intravenous, intramuscular or subcutaneous injection.
Reference dose according to clinical uses: Hypovolemic shock or dehydration: From 4 to 8 mg per kg by intravenous injection, simultaneously with fluid therapy and balance of the internal environment. Anaphylactic shock: from 4 to 8 mg per kg by intravenous injection.
The dose is adjusted according to veterinary criteria.
